JOB PURPOSE

If you're passionate about pastry, join us in this exciting and rewarding opportunity to work in one of the most dynamic and innovative environments in the hospitality industry.As a Commis II Pastry, you will work under the guidance of the Executive Pastry Chef and your Seniors, ensuring all pastry items meet our highest standards of quality, taste, and presentation. Your purpose is to support our pastry team in the preparation of a variety of sweet creations, such as cakes, pastries, breads, and desserts, contributing to an unforgettable culinary experience for guests onboard

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Your work will have a direct impact on the guest experience onboard, ensuring that the pastry offerings reflect the excellence of our cruise line. By maintaining consistent quality, working efficiently within your team, and showcasing your creativity in the pastry kitchen, you will help create memorable moments for our guests. Your expertise and attention to detail will ensure that pastries are always fresh, visually stunning, and meticulously prepared. Through your efforts, you will contribute to the overall success of our dining services.

QUALIFICATIONS (skills, competencies, experience)

To qualify in this role, you will need:

1.    Previous experience in a pastry role, ideally in a similar cruise line or hospitality setting.

2.    A basic understanding of pastry preparation and recipes, including the ability to create a variety of pastries, desserts, and cakes.

3.    Strong knowledge of food safety standards and cleanliness protocols.

4.    The ability to work efficiently and handle multiple tasks in a frenetic, high-pressure environment.

5.    A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to adapt to changing needs and situations.

6.    The ability to work collaboratively within a team and take direction from senior chefs.
