SHOP ASSISTANT

Main purpose: The Shop Assistant carries out operations such as welcoming and pampering customers, arranging window displays, processing customer purchasing and taking care of inventory. You should also be able to identify customers' needs and recommend suitable shop items that best satisfy their needs. Strong commitment to quality and Guest care are a must.

Main duties & responsibilities:

  • Greet customers and ascertain what each customer wants or needs;

  • Build and maintain an individual and professional relationships with customers;

  • Shop administration;

  • Keep the shop area clean and tidy, clean shelves, counters, and tables;

  • Arrange the shop window’s display;

  • Carry out inventory stock according to management instructions;

  • Comply with the financial objectives of the shop.

Competencies required:

  • Collaboration: Be able and willing to work as a team within the department and with other departments.

  • Personal Effectiveness & Communication: Demonstrate self-control and present information clearly and with confidence.

  • Personal development: Be open to and accept constructive feedback and use it to improve. Ongoing dialogue with Head of Department on own performance objectives.

  • Business orientation: Be able to follow guidelines and priorities assigned by Head of the Department in order to achieve goals in a timely and satisfactory way. Perform his/her tasks with integrity.

  • Technical Skills: Demonstrate technical competence and knowledge related to the role.

Other requirements:

  • English knowledge equivalent to level B2;

  • Maximum flexibility to every shifts coverage;

  • Previous professional experience in the same position.

Workplace: Verdura Resort, SS 115, Km 131, Sciacca (AG).
