Descrizione dell'offertaREPORTS TO: Restaurant ManagerSUBORDINATES: Restaurant Staff JOB OBJECTIVE 1. To provide guests with quality food and beverage service by managing the restaurants in all aspects. 2. To meet/exceed and anticipate guest expectations, and ensure complete guest satisfaction. 3. To create an overall pleasant dining atmosphere and experience. 4. To become able to efficiently perform all supervision duties on any of the outlets as per schedule or Restaurant Manager’s instructions. RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Seating arrangements for the guests. 2. Supervises all staff, making sure duties are performed to standard. 3. Fully knowledgeable on the Routes of Service Manual. Ensures use of the same as the base to all staff trainings and respective follow up. 4. Follows the Company’s operations policies, as described in the Restaurant Operations Manual. 5. Coordinates and ensures follow up of any special order or Guest request. Ensures that information is passed to colleges and Restaurant Manager. 6. Supervises, guides and trains staff under his supervision on a daily basis. 7. Assists Restaurant Manager with performance appraisals. 8. Develops and maintains the work schedules and overtime sheets for restaurant staff. 9. Develops and maintains a fair rotation for the restaurant staff “time off”. 10. Responsible for all requisition of sundries, consumables, silverware, glassware and china according to provision schedule. 11. Responsible for minimizing breakage or damage of the above mentioned item, by ensuring follow up of all Company guidelines for safely handling material. 12. Responsible for reporting any breakage or damage to Head Waiter in charge of inventory and Restaurant Manager. 13. Ensures that all tables and trolleys are set up according to standards and that linen and silverware are in clean and good condition. 14. Supervises general cleaning and ensures that his area of supervision is according to company and USPH standards. 15. Has a pro-active approach to problem solving. 16. Maintains guidelines, procedures and training practices set by the Corporate Office. 17. Prepares necessary reports to Restaurant Manager in regards any Guest/Crew incident. These reports must be prepared as soon as possible. 18. Performs all other duties as requested by supervisor 19. To meet Targets /Ratings set by the office GUESTS 1. Demonstrates genuine concern for guests’ well being at all times. 2. Ensures all guest requests, inquiries and complaints are responded to promptly FINANCE 1. Requisition approval. 2. Trains and supervises staff to minimize breakage, loss and damage to equipment. 3. Practices preventive maintenance. 4. Must be aware of the revenue aspect of this operation, motivate the crew to always make the necessary effort to achieve the sales target, nevertheless lead them to improve it. CREW 1. Supervision, training and evaluation of personnel according to company policy. 2. Provides orientation and training. 3. Conducts employee meetings and counseling sessions. 4. Determines and communicates standards of performance to employees. 5. Staff motivation. 6. Performs staff evaluations together with Restaurant Manager. 7. Maintains discipline and ensures staff is aware and understands ship’s rules and regulations. 8. Maintains professional and clear communication skills, using correct language and ensuring fairness and respect to all. 9. Oversees scheduling of staff and assignment of duties. CLEANING & MAINTENANCE 1. Regular inspections of restaurant service areas to ensure proper organization, cleanliness and maintenance. 2. Continuous U.S.P.H. training of staff and inspections. 3. Ensures department is up to U.S.P.H. standards. COMMUNICATION 1. Active and continuous communication with Restaurant Manager. 2. Maintains a good relation with other departments. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE 1. Previous Head Waiter experience in 5-star operation; hotel, restaurant or ship. 2. Excellent knowledge of food, beverage and international cuisine. 3. Knowledge of U.S.P.H. standards and procedures. COMPUTER KNOWLEDGE 1. Computer knowledge; Word, Excel PROFILE 1. Strong leadership skills. Excellent organizational skills 2. Good administrative skills 3. Team player 4. Outgoing personality, open minded and flexible. 5. Well-groomed and neat appearance. 6. Ability to work with international crew. 7. Ability to perform well under pressure. 8. Professional appearance and excellent social skills (smile). 9. Ability to deal professionally with guest complaints. |
